Can You See It?
Yet this day was different.
Slowly adjusting, she began to study her reflection. Aware of a distant light, she felt herself drawn—compelled—to look deeper. As she gazed, she noticed filthy rags standing like silhouettes between her and the light. One by one, they began to fade, weakened by its power.
The troubles we face for a moment are working for us a far greater, eternal weight of glory.

Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard for us to look into God's Word (the Mirror) and see who we are. BUT it's even harder to allow Him to show us who He's called us to be. The beauty we've been given in Christ can only be seen when we spend time in His presence through prayer, devotion, thinking upon his Word, and worshiping Him.
So often I would rather behold the fading glory of this world than to look into the living eye's of my Lord.... forgive me Jesus... give me a heart that longs for You.
